I have gotten to do awesome things this summer that I would not normally do like see Cars 3D, go to the Grammy Museum right in the heart of L.A. (please go, it's incredible!), Disneyland, Go-Kart racing, and even had the honors of going to a trampoline place on Thursday where I sprained my ankle. UGH. Yes, I am writing this while my ass has been forming a massive imprint in my bed. I'm praying it gets better by Saturday (I'm NOT missing HARD Summer Fest!!! - mainly to see some of you beautiful women).
The 5th and 6th graders are my group - such an awk age, I can't even explain. But we do stuff as a whole camp a lot so it doesn't really matter. My days are spent singing silly songs, saying the "Homotzee," and playing Ga-Ga (a ball game played at every Jewish camp). I am in charge of so much though, it's insane. I work the longest hours I have ever worked in my life and I'm never NOT exhausted. I go to work and leave feeling like I had spent the whole day at 24 Hour Fitness. But this by far, (I mean I'm comparing it to hostessing) is the most rewarding job. Yeah, the kids are privileged and all, but when their parents pick them up and pull you aside to say, "my kid never stops talking about you. You have to come babysit before summer ends and you HAVE to come back next summer," is literally the most heart-warming feeling. This summer has sped by like lighting, but I'm already really attached to these kids which makes this whole moving to Israel thing even harder than it was.
Yep, I leave in 25 days. FREAKING OUT.
I love you all. Since I have left SD, I can still say there is no better women in the world :)
